Wishing You A Happy Thanksgiving ![]() HAPPY THANKSGIVING Good evening, Well, here it is Thursday, November 27, 2019. The night before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has always been my second favorite day of the whole year, Christmas being my favorite, but my most favorite meal to cook. I guess that's because my mom taught me how to make it special like she did, the house smell so good, the food taste magnificent and the family feel so close. I have many things in my life to be thankful for, so many that it would take several entries just to list them. The past few days I have been working on some research in order for me to make an attempt to write a fantasy novel. I am really excited and it is another thing to add to my long list of items. However, I do have to mention here and now. I am truly grateful for Wdc and the community that dwells within. This site and all you people have pulled me through thick and thin and many ups and downs. I wish to take this opportunity to say thank you. Have a Happy and a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Kristina

Hi everyone and thank you for responses. I am safe and hope to stay that way. There has been numerous aftershocks and another one (5.1) hit this am. Hwy. 178, which connects me to Lake Isabella and the Lake Isabella Dam was closed last night due to rock slides but reopened about 11:30 this morning. They say that the Dam is OK, what ever "OK" means. I was right, the epicenter was just outside of Ridgecrest. I really feel for those people there. I do know that they had to evacuate the hospital, and I saw pics of the devastation there. The fault that shifted the past two days is part of the San Andreas fault. I am sitting right on top of that. When it goes, that is going to bad. They call it "The Big One." Anyway, I thought I would just pass on an update. Does anyone else live and felt it? I heard it was felt in Nevada and another couple of states. Kristina
OMG--- we just had another earthquake. A 7.1 this time. I was on my front porch, clinging to my chair as I watched my house (a mobile home), house blinds, awning, porch and a huge tree sway back and forth. Seem to go on forever. I haven't heard of the epicenter, although I suspect close to Ridgecrest where the 6.4 hit yesterday. I am waiting for news casts now. What an eventful week. Kristina
Excuse me if you already know how to link, but in case someone else seeing this doesn't, I'll demonstrate with my challenge since my challenge automatically pops up for me as your blog should for you if it's one of the last 8 things you've written or edited.
You need the item number, found near the top of the item, between the title and the description. It's also in the web address and on the link in your port before you open the item.
You also need to use curly braces, as with any other code on WdC. They are located just above the square brackets on your keyboard. There are 2 main types of links usually used--item and bitem. You probably want the bitem links because they are more eye-catching.
{item:2109126} = "The Contest Challenge"
{bitem:2109126}
I hope this helps someone to get more views of whatever they're advertising and good luck with your new blog! FUN!
