I'm a reader.

I'm just reading a Kindle Unlimited soft erotic novella that is prefaced:
"All characters are over 21."

I'm thinking, if I ever write an erotic novella, I'm going to preface it:

"All characters are 16 or older, except if you live in California, Florida, New York, or Saudi Arabia -- in which case all characters are over 30."

I live in Canada, and I just cannot fathom foreign places whose citizens think ordinary sex between an 18 y/o and a 17 y/o, let alone sex between two 16 y/os, is any kind of criminal act.

I guess it's all in how it was written. Weren't Romeo and Juliet like 13-14 or something?
