A story about an old Book.

Last week, someone suggested that we write a story, someway involving an old book. It piqued my interest, and I set as this week's project to write such a story.

Now, I've finished the story and can't find the post with the inspiring prompt. Does anyone remember where it was? Was it a contest? Was it just someone's passing comment?
