Jacob's Choice Open in new Window. (E)
A young man deals with the choice he made last night... in the dark... in the woods.

If you've a moment and are so inclined, please take a peek. I welcome and appreciate opinions and suggestions on making my writing more appealing.

Thanks, Peg
I'm new to WC and have been searching out good places to nestle into and learn. I found that entering contests might work for me. It's fun (and I'm more likely to do anything that's 'good for me' if it's fun) and, so far, it doesn't seem too difficult.

I've entered a little bit of fiction I wrote into the contest Just One Point of View... I know that because, I just figured out how to 'Favorite' a contest (go me!) and am right now looking at it in my right hand column.

I'd mention who's contest it was, except I'm sort of afraid that if I leave this page to go look, I'll lose you... ;)

Contests are great and I agree you could start with some Newbie only contests. I was so excited when I came in third place in one of the first contests I have entered. I haven't even been a member for a year yet but I have entered all kinds of contests and since then found my love for writing children's books *Smile* . Good luck!
Good luck! *Smile* I like contests too, they encourage me to stop procrastinating.
Hello PJ Payton Author Icon ,
I was just wondering about my experiences when I had first started here on January 13th 2009. I did feel totally lost and scattered.I participated in a lot of writing and reviewing contests to earn the gp's. In that ongoing process I did make a lot of wonderful friends like 🌕 HuntersMoon Author Icon who were my all-time supporters.I wish you a great writing like and continue to read and write.
I just added a new little piece that I hope to use in a longer work later.

It's a new try at a little darker subject. It's called Jacob's Choice.

Hoping to get a couple reviews to help me tighten it up...or maybe start over, depending on the reviews ;)
