Here's Pink Floyd's song simply called "Mother". Without the music you can't get all the emotions of the song, but I am sure there are many of you who remember this 1979 track. Happy mothers day to everyone.


Mother, do you think they'll drop the bomb?
Mother, do you think they'll like this song?
Mother, do you think they'll try to break my balls?
Ooh, and I, mother, should I build the wall?
Mother, should I run for President?
Mother, should I trust the government?
Mama, will they put me in the firing line?
Ooh, is it just a waste of time?

Mama's gonna make all of your nightmares come true

I remember like it was yesterday. I can play the music and sing the song in my mind. Those were the days of never ending parties and… well, many other delightful activities not fit for this post…

Sometimes we just write for the sake of it, sometimes the words come vivid and strong. I just had to write this little piece.

Faith is important.

I always found the wording of the first commandment puzzling. I am the Lord thy God. Thou shall shalt not have not have strange gods before me.

Why strange? Why before? Seems like some secondary gods are ok.
Why not: Thou shall not have other gods.
Damon Nomad Author Icon - The Greeks, the Egyptions are the only Gods I can recall before Him.
Just a random thought.

I wonder when the next "Preferred Authour" and "Moderator" promotions will be announced.

A very good question. I can think of some black cases that most definitely would look good in yellow.
They are at random intervals and announced as a surprise, always.
