I've just edited an item in my portfolio:
The Wanderer  Open in new Window. (E)
A short fantasy story about a man who meets a woman and how they save their kingdom.
I would love to get some feedback on this. Anxious to learn, but hard to do when nobody reads it lol
My day started out like any other, husband crawling out of bed to shower and dress before offering up a quick kiss goodbye before leaving for work. With a sleepy eyelid cracked, I watched our two kids came bouncing through my bedroom door, begging for cereal. The fact that i was still trying to sleep apparently eluded them and I groaned inwardly, realizing my sleep for the night was finished. I sat up slowly and turned, sliding my feet off the bed and on to the floor. My children started to giggle at my hair poking up, and I managed a tired smile, then sent them from the room so I could dress. I ran a brush through my hair, grimacing as it did nothing to help, so I grabbed some pins and shoved them into my hair, making myself presentable...barely. I turned around as I heard the children shouting and I sighed in exasperation. Fighting already? I rubbed my eyes and walked out my bedroom door. Another day, another dollar...except I don't get paid for this. I sighed again, bracing myself to face the day. Here we go again.

normalcy is sometimes the best thing ever. What you have is a precious thing. Moment go by too quickly and your kids will be gone and you will be wondering what to do with yourself.
have a great day!
