Arg! Suddenly I feel all driven to draw a character or like there's some elusive spark of a new story in the back of my mind... wondering ifi shouldn't work on something else. I'm not stuck on The Seven Before, but I can't seem to get myself to write on it.
To those interested in my novel, The Seven Before, I will be slow in working on it for a while. I've had some thoughts come up for what I've already written that I must put in, and I've also recieved a number of requests on another site for some Tardis and Dalek gloves that will be keeping me busy. Sorry, I'll be putting more time to writing once I've finished the gloves.
I've just edited an item in my portfolio:
Chapter IV. Mitzi Open in new Window. (E)
Outsiders have it the worst.

Just "finished" chapter 4! Enjoy!
Well, at this point my novel will be very George R. R. Martin style. Better get back to writing!
I've just edited an item in my portfolio:
The Seven Before - Prologue Open in new Window. (E)
A new war is beginning on Kaesept, and the key to victory may lie in tomes old as legend.

Upped the word count by 300 with some more description.
Dilemmas, dilemmas. Just how George R. R. martin do I want to go with this novel... cause the thoughts I have on this chapter alone are worth 2 or 3 chapters... Hmmm. If I keep planning like this, I'm looking at a Sci Fi version of A Song of Ice and Fire. Not that that is a bad thing, just more than I had thought it would be when I started.
Yesterday I discovered an article about curing Hepatitis C. This hits home for me, because my dad has it and was unresponive to the treatment back in 2001. It talks about more than one option for treatment to cure it, and succuss rates have been well over 90%. These are still early on with the drugs, so they are not sure about long term succuss, but so far studies have shown that the Hepatitis C is gone. It also mentioned that the prices are still extremely high for treatment, meaning it will not be widely available, but I have high hopes for the future with these treatments.

Here  Open in new Window.is a link to the article I read. Though there are other articles out there.
Ugh, doing a serious rewrite of a chapter. It flows bad and the character interactions are all out of whack. >:( Bad characters. Hope I can get them roped in and under control tonight, because I may have to scrap this story if they don't. This chapter is helping me start to set up who they and ans such and if they don't work out... (Sigh)

A different character or maybe just a deeper one? Could it be helpful to not work on the actual project for a few days? You could try to use the characters in different settings to see how they react to different things and get to know them better that way. It has worked for me before when I get stumped.
I've thought about something like that. So far I'm feeling better writing and making them behave, and a little bit with doing character sheets. If I'm still not comfortable with how it's going I may try putting them in different settings and free-writing with them to see if that helps. Just haven't really been able to picture them in anything but this story.

Ah! Well, whatever seems to be working right now, keep on it! Things will work out somehow... they usually do. *Wink*
Trying to make a life and career move with writing, and sticking to it.
