Nice effort. I was drawn into your story by the title as I am a buddhist in London, UK. I am somewhat new to the practice having only studied it for the past year and a half.
Best of luck with your writing. I liked some of your descriptions however I felt that many were a sterotype and that they did not feel very genuine of yourself or the topic. Hopefully others with more experience will give you some deeper feedback.
