This is fascinating! You used grammar rules correctly, and there is a strong sense of mystery.

It would be even better if her job was described a little more. Maybe she files documents instead of fighting crime like she wants to?

Overall, interesting, well-written first piece. and I can't wait for the next instalment. Keep going! :)
