This was good and kept my attention. Wanted to find out the deal with the snakes and was surprised by the ending which made me chuckle. Never expected it, which our character Rob didn't either. The setting was good too.
Picking one memory is definitely a hard job. Your thought process in how you decided was good. It is understandable as to why you chose the memory you did. It hit a lot of importance to you; 1) Wanting to win the game, which you did; 2) You more than likely learned how unsafe old refrigerators and large appliances with hinges are. and 3) that your grandfather saved your life, which increased your bond with him. You ended it well that this memory has kept you going in your dark days and expect it to continue doing so.
The only thing that really tripped me up was "but I have found it the bad memories" I believe if you either get rid of the word "it" or used "that" instead of "it the" it would be easier to read.
This was very forthcoming and motivational for those who are discouraged with life. It is alson motivational for those who have disabilities that energy level changes frequently (Fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety and others). It will also encourage those whose lives are busy to just do one thing a day just for themselves. I would adjust the spacing and color of font to a less bold black for easier reading.
