What a beautiful piece of writing. A lady after my own heart. Beautifully described and written in a heartfelt way from your own experience. The love and the wisdom you have grown to know comes across in this piece of work.
What a lovely piece about teenage love. That is how it should be. I thought this was well written and thought out and I didn't notice any obvious errors in grammar etc.
I have read it twice, it brought my own teenage years back and left me with a warm glow.
I loved this. It is a very descriptive piece. You have more scop for describing the children's feeling of abandonment and confusion. How old are Casey and Talia are they old enough to be able to cope?
I kept reading to the end and would love to read more.
This piece of work brings to mind my childhood and the wonder of books. I was and remain a bookworm. As a child the sight of so many books in the library filled me with awe and wonder.
I like this piece of work simply because it evoked so many memories. I loved that the children made a cosy den to sit in peace and quiet to enjoy their reading. The fact that Sam is reading to his younger brother also made me smile and brought back memories of being read to.
This is an excellent story of the love between humans and animals. It was very descriptive. Only a couple of constructive comments: the word sent should be scent, and it could do with a bit of punctuation. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and read every word to the end. It held my attention.
It certainly sounds like you all had a hard time coming to terms with your grandmothers illness and diagnosis. I know this feeling well and I am sure it has helped to relive some of the emotions by writing about your experience. Life difficulties make us stronger and you have expressed this very clearly in your writing. I felt as if I was going through it with you. It was honest in that your writing conveyed a sense of comfort that you all gave to each other your grandmother included. I'm sure you gave her strength with your presence in her life and by the love you gave.
