I interpreted this in a mental health manner… as someone who has struggled with mental health, this is extremely similar to how BPD feels, from constantly putting on a mask, to the loneliness. It’s a beautiful piece, and as someone who struggles with feeling like a monster, I want to thank you for captivating the emotional side of putting on a mask every day to try to fit in with society.
