Hello
<=] ** ~~> here.
I want to say that I followed the links from
intuey 's "
Invalid Item"
to here. All on the learning process.
The path is long and is taking me to many ports. But it is a path that I wish to take. All for the betterment of my own reviewing skills.
What you have here is educational and assists with establishing good reviewing skills. A lot of people do not put a lot of credence into their ability of writing a review. So that is where items such as this educate them and in turn the establish a firmer knowledge of what is expected of them and what their own abilities are.
Feelings are such a big part of writing and they really do need to be taken into account. Not only as a writer, but as a reviewer. You can still tell someone that you did not enjoy their work without being rude and still offer them encouragement. In doing so you are saying and admitting that "yes" your views are different from those of the writer. But it also shows that you are acknowledging them for their individuality and possibly being inspired by them.
Writing is like giving birth to a baby and with each word, you give a little of yourself and your own feelings. You do not need them to be overly bruised. But you do need to have them acknowledged and you do need to know what feelings were evoked by the writer.
If the writer/reviewer comes across as "Bitchy" that is to up to the individual to decide. As you have stated
"Love it, hate it, ignore it. I don't care but if you ignore it when reviewing my work, I will ignore your review." Rings very true.
Thank-you for being so forth right on your reviewing thoughts and feelings and they are acknowledged from this end.
However, and I do so hate pointing these things out. There are a couple of wee typos. One is at the opening of the piece. I think it was meant to be a writing ML, that did not work out. It looks like this:
=0). Then a little further down the page there is another that is similar. Where you say that you are a rebel.
There are a few further down the page as well that you may or may not wish to look at, during some point.
