Wow, this short story was pretty powerful, especially the end. I liked the images you described as he was traveling through time waves. The end was scary but fitting given the climate the world is pushing for.
It's like we all ended up in that stupid John Lennon song "Imagine" and do nothing but spew the Communist Manifesto. Great job, you managed to capture a novel-length sci-fi story into a short and still made an impactful point.
Cute story. I was half expecting for Robert to be the one that was on the waiting list. That could possibly be a funny twist, maybe that's why it said it was never checked out, but I definitely feel the frustration of the hero. I would hate it if I wasn't able to check out a book!
Once upon a time, there was a dog named Diva Do, who was fine and fancy as could be. Every day, Diva Do would sneak out of her yard underneath the fence and she would trot around doing what Diva Do did. One day, it started to rain and rain and didn't stop for three days. Because of that, all Diva Do did was run outside and do what she needed to and run inside so she wouldn't get all filthy like the other dog who lived there, who was practically a mud sponge that couldn't be rinsed out. Until finally, the rain stopped and Diva Do took the opportunity to go for a walk. But on the way out under the fence, she got soaking wet and absolutely covered in mud, and she needed to get back inside quick before any of the neighbors saw her. Unfortunately, when she realized this it was already too late and she was on the other side of the fence and had to walk all the way around the fence row that went on for three houses. When she got home it started raining and there was no one home to open the door for her. Diva Do decided to take advantage of the rain and ran around getting all cleaned off just in time for the pop-up shower to stop, then Diva Do was free to take her walk around the block doing whatever it was that Diva Do did.
These are great lyrics and very spot on with how Black Friday and the overall holiday season is. There are not enough savings to be worth camping and stampeeding through a store!

Hello- I thought this was a beautiful poem and you did a nice job with the imagery- very vivid. I also like how the rhythm and rhyme flowed. It was well worded and well written. Nice job.
I really like this. I don't think I've seen anything before that was written from a muses point of view and I think you captured quite nicely, and comically how the inner workings of the mind think and act.
This was a beautiful poem that captures the love of a parent for their child. It also evoked a feeling of sadness and a little anxiety as it made me think about my own son who is growing up so quickly.
This was a lovely poem about enjoying family and little moments. It was well written and worded. The flow was nice and the imagery brought me into the poem as if I was there.
This was a nice little poem. It started out sad but ended on a happy note. It was well written and the rhythm and rhyme flowed smoothly.
I liked the last line about the girl and the bird both flying out to "creations edge"- nice touch.
I really liked this poem. I enjoy reading topics like this and relate very much to it.
It was well written, well said and the rhythm and rhyme flowed smoothly.
Hello, I thought this was a lovely poem and captures thoughts about writing nicely.
I like the rhythm and rhyme and thought it flowed smoothly. The only thing I might suggest is breaking it up into smaller parts instead of one big block. I think having a little more white space helps to see, read and keep track a little easier- other than that it was fantastic.
