This in incredible tale. It has a great atmosphere and a great minimal style. It's very short and could easily be added to, but it stands great as it is. As I've said to others before, being able to leave your reader wanting more is a gift.

A few of the lines I especially liked:

"Their arms were stretched until almost breaking point, trying to pull me into the room" - incredible image. One of the best I've read on writing.com

"To leave that inn that contained a doorway into the depths of hell itself." - Great line.

I also loved your final line. You delivered it perfectly. Great job. Keep it up.

Your story is like a poem. One both dark and beautiful. It is both ghostly and vivid. Thank you for posting this. A well-deserved 5.

Carry on writing.

Take care. Martin

A great story. You have a gift for character development. I'd say that's the thing I enjoyed the most about your writing here. A few things I particularly liked:

"he points and I take the stance he always wants me to take when telling this particular story." A little insight into the two character's relationship and history. Very well executed.

"analyzing his flawless second round like a symphony" A nice method of developing Tom.

Overall, a great story. KKept my attention all the way through. Thanks for uploading.

Martin
