Great tips, I am very aware of the scammer's. I know that if you are promised that your poem will end up in a book somewhere possibly in the library, I wouldn't believe them. I've been through that but had the commen sense to not follow through. Don't worry, I wasn't out any money cause I didn't fork over the money.

About the entry fees to some of these poem, I wasn't aware some of the entry fees would cost that much. Aren't there free ones where they won't scam you? Or does it always cost?

Beautiful! I loved the story. It was sweet and reminded me of Romeo & Juliet, but only better. I loved it and felt everything that "John" was feeling.

I like the essay, it was personal and showed what you had to endure has a teenager. I'm sorry that your granparents were the way they were and hope that you have reconciled with them as well like did your mother. It's easy to forgive than it is to forget. I've been through alot of things as a teenager also. You appreciate the life you have now and learn from the bad and the good of any situation. I commend you for getting out of the situation you were in and hope your life is better for it. Keep writing.

Review of Paper World.  Open in new Window.
Review by Crissy Author IconMail Icon
Rated: E | (2.5)
Ok, I like the story and I understand that it was for a short story that only allowed 55 words, but it really doesn't introduce to me the child or the father, the location is there. You titled it "Paper World", but you talked of paper bonds. Are you talking of money or stocks or material thing. "From the vale of relations, he passed helplessly. Hope faded away from his world.", did the child die? It has some potential to make a good short story but has a lot of missing peices in the story. I'd like to read more.

I thought it was good even though I had to read it twice to actually get the meaning. I realized that it must've been cloudy where you were at and showing signs of rain.
