You are point on with that conclusion! I definitely agree and would add....those companies that do well do so because, although not perfect, they invest resources in providing the managerial training to strengthen areas of weakness. I also think you made a great point with regard to those companies who as a matter of practice do not value employees and encourage this perspective when an employee gets promoted.

Good questions.
You asked: who really cares?
Hopefully the one asking the questions. It has been said that our greatest need in life is for meaning...after all, that is where is where the meaning of our existence evolves. And it only happens because we ask such questions of ourselves and pay attention until answers start to emerge.
I hope the questions open the door to a new journey and more writing *Smile*

Yumm....If you ever write a cookbook do consider using this story. It is heartwarming and mouth watering *Smile* This reads as a treasured memory. Your storytelling embraces the reader and makes them an extended part of the family...mug extended for a coffee refill as we wait for another slice of family lore.

Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed this story. It is heartwarming.....reminds me of a Chicken Soup for the Soul kind of story. You selected a wonderful "twist" for the ending that breathes a new dimension into the story. I see no reason to suggest you change it at all....Well done!

Thank you for sharing this!

Powerful piece! I feel you did a great job of expressing the tension of trying to convey rage and still holding back-maintaining some control because it feels like if you let it all go you would go mad.

Impressive piece of work.

Please keep writing.

All the best!

I like the sentiment behind this piece, so good work on reaching in to share *Smile*

I will share a few thoughts and ask that you keep in mind these are only suggestions and not criticisms. Ok?

You wrote: I remember a time before I knew this very art,
Maybe consider: Remembering a time before this art

You wrote: Craving to turn the very soul.
I would suggest simply using Craving for Soul or Craving for Soul's Return.

You wrote: keep near in this interlude.
I would suggest considering inverting that with something like - Interlude keeping near.

I hope some of that is helpful *Smile*
Keep writing!

All the best!
