I really enjoyed this unique poem as I have never read anything like it before. The specific parts that rhymed went very smoothly, and the rest blended in, creating an interesting story. I don't know your original meaning when writing this, but to me it means someone who is really hurting and has been for a long time, but does not have any physically visible signs of them being wounded. Overall, it is someone who has had a really tough life. That was my overall impression of the meaning. I wonder if that is close to what you meant when writing this attention-catching piece of poetry. Anyone that has gone through any struggle in life, can relate to this poem. Great job!

Overall this seems like a great picture of what the Thanksgiving cook goes through for a good Thanksgiving dinner and the last line reminds the cook that the generations before, or her grandmother at least, could do it well so the pressure's on. The thing I noticed for myself at least, is the rhyme scheme didn't flow for me at times and so the flow of the poem was slightly interrupted. My opinion, of course, and it was still a great picture of what Thanksgiving dinner makes someone go through. Good job overall.
