Heartbreaking, yes. The final stanza was it for me, incredibly real. I love the nostalgia- I felt every word, especially of course, in the end. In my humble opinion, this is very effective poetry. The form- free verse- correct me if I'm wrong- was fine, though the 2nd line of the last stanza was a bit out of place as far as length. And, pet peeve, was "exeptance" meant to be "acceptance" or am I completely ignorant? Anyway, I read this through quite a few times, and I must say thta I really enjoyed its sentiment. Thank you for sharing.
