First, I like the topic of the short story because it set the reader up for what to expect from the story. Also I like the diction which create a picture that enable the reader to connect. However, I do not like how the story ends, to me, it is too sudden. Overall, it is good piece of narration. Good job!

The poem strikes me like someone who has been contemplating of leaving a particular place; a place filled with horrible experience, and had developed a cold feet. Suddenly, he gained strength to leave. I like your use of imagery, diction and personification to convey your message. Love it. It is relatable.
