I really enjoyed reading this short story. The humor is right out front, and it draws you into the story. My mom never had her driving licence, but one day she decided to try it. the front of our home there was a slainted driveway which ended at our neighbors fence and then, there were concrete steps...the car was an old 59 chevrolet, a very longggg car.. She changed gears( standard on the wheel) and instead of reverse she went foreward ofcorse... bless her heart, she wanted to learn to drive so badly, but she never tried it again! your story reminded me of this lesson my mom one day ventured on her own. thanks for a great story! :)
