I loved this piece of writing.
It had a very humorous tone to it, and it certainly got me in a very cheerful mood.
I loved the way you described the transition of the peaceful dream to a nightmare.
And the cookies! I was drooling by the time you got back on track. Heheheh.
The ending with the little conversation with chase was interesting. It finished off very nicely.
I really enjoyed reading this. Thanks for making me extremely hungry.
Time to raid the fridge. :)

I hope you're doing well.
I liked how you were completely honest about your brother and how you feel.
I lost my grandfather a week ago, and I can relate to what you must be going through. What you said about imagining pain, and feeling it as two completely different things... is something I completely agree on. No amount of preparation can prevent us from the turmoil that we become enveloped in when somebody close dies. But it's the promise of not letting their death be in vain, that helps us move on, and get back up.

Hassan.

Hello Tim.
I have mixed feelings about this poem. I love the basic theme that this carries and tries to stress upon, but I couldn't help but think of this as a satire. I don't know why, but something about the tone that seemed to flow along with the poem made me think so. It could just me, but the poem left me a bit confused. If it was indeed a satire, then great work. Because even though we promise to work for a better future, we fall short. We always will. Greed is integrated into the human nature and almost always triumphs. So if this was a satire, it was done wonderfully. If not, then I suggest you try to change some of the words that somewhat carry, a two-sided connotation.
