Just a quick impression from the first two paragraphs:
I thought the use of sesquipedalian words greatly interfered with my understanding. E.g., "his impoverishment of Ericasi." I had no clue what this meant. My first guess was something about how he had singlehandedly increased the poverty in the region. The next sentence led me to think it was related to his impending loss of the love of his life. I saw several more things like that; that was merely the most confusing.
I didn't see enough potential value to make it worth my time to continue reading.
