I found this piece very absorbing; I couldn't stop until i got to the end. It's quite moving. Everyone has one day ahead of him or her; which day, no one knows. Whether it takes us unawares or we see that day coming, the main issue is not the end, but what happens after the end. This is a reality we 'wisely' ignore. We all make arrangements for a holiday, for buying a home, for marriage, and for training our children. None for that tearful day.
It's hard, terribly hard to convince an intellectual mind that life does not end here; to make such assertion sounds 'stupid'. Which confirms the fact that spiritual realities are foolishness to the intellectual, wisdom-conscious mind of modern age. But in the sight of God, foolishness--childlike foolishness--counts more than philosophy and logic and science.
My view here is without prejuidice to those whose wisdom count over my foolishness. I'm foolish in the sight of the world so that I'll be wise in the sight of God.
Thanks for this wonderful piece, so wonderfully presented.
Celestine
