This poem was very touching and the graphic nature of the imagery made me review all of the "Save the children" foundations. In my mind, I'm currently thinking of what our nation as a whole can do to affect a positive dominoe reaction that will counter the degrading nature of poverty.
As far as content, I would say if you are going to create a stanza pattern, keep it the entire work; but other than that, I commend this poem and look forward to others!
I thoroughly enjoyed the work and how it allowed me to relate to when i first found the blood of christ. If the audience is for the nonbelievers, try to apply more to their atmosphere. Attempt to relate more to being in their world with the "sex, drugs, and food" and acknowledge that you were there, that everyone is human, but how we handle our falls is what causes us to rise up stronger than we were before.
