What a lovely and inspirational story! I loved the fact that even though the story had a happy ending, it was true to life and didn't sugarcoat the brutality of Carl's life. The fact is people DO live like that, and many die like that. I enjoy reading things that are gritty but also emotional & this fit the bill beautifully. I have not noticed what genres "Broken &Labeled" was listed under, but it is most definately inspirational as sad stories often are.

Review of Help Us Help YOU!  Open in new Window.

This article is well put togeather, and easily conveys the intended message of interesting more people in our site. Since reading it I am more motivated to spread the word about writing.com so I would say that this piece works! Regarding said suggestions reading this article helped me to determine how best I personally can spread the word. By giving the reader numerous options, the writer increases the odds that they will tell others about the site. For example I do not have my own website, but am interested in the notion of adding a link to writing.com in my email signature. I must confess I have been absent from this site for a while and feel a wee bit guility as now that I am back I regret being away so long, so it was indeed a timely article for me.

Review of Love renewed  Open in new Window.

Interesting poem. When I first noticed the title and description, I thought that it would be about romantic love, as in someone finding a new partner after death of or divorce from of their former one. Having read it now I think not. It seems to be about a renewal of the spirit or soul, and about someone finding themselves anew. The weather metaphors effectively convey that in a simple yet beautiful way. Sometimes less is indeed more.

Interesting concept! A teeny bit too confuseing for my tastes, but still that is the idea so it works. I am thinking that the reader is to presume that the owner of this mysterious journal is insane. Assumeing I am right I think that the writer did really well, as the rambleing repetetive nature of their museings seem somewhat insane! My favorite part of it is where one has no idea what the owner is saying due to the fact that portions of the page are gone. Not only does it make you think, it adds to the realism. Nice job!

Review of Broken Doll  Open in new Window.

Great story! It could easily be lengthened I think if the writer wanted to. One suggestion I would make would be to have a bit more dialogue for the mother monster, and the police as they book her. It would also be interesting to see her go to jail, as in there she would have a difficult time - no one hates people who hurt children more then convicts! I really enjoyed it, and as you can see from my comments would love to read more of the same. And one final thought - I loved the use of the foreign names (Aasiya, Shahid, Nilofer etc.). It makes this story stand out.

Review of Eternal Sleep  Open in new Window.

I enjoyed this poem, as for me poetry is defined more by emotion then rhyme. There is a beautiful depth of emotion in this piece. The mention of the
"The dark hooded stranger", who "released his foul breath" is a great analogy for death, especially death of a younger person which always
seems so unfair. I realize this was written some time ago, but can relate to the feelings having suffered a recent loss myself and also written a poem about it posted here.

Wow! What a cut & funny story! i really enjoyed it! I haven't been on this site much lately, but having stumbled upon this I think I need to make time for it. Honestly I had never really thought about a psychologist's day, but maybe | should as I have seen many over the years. Good Job!
