I try to do the review sandwich effect. I start by telling the author what I liked about the story, then I lead to any negative feedback (we all need to hear it, even for what we perceive as a polished piece) and finish with more positive feedback about the story. Congratulations! You are the winner of this past prompt: Use the following words: Red; Knife; Cracker; Straw; Puppy. You followed the prompt correctly and adhered to all the rules in the contest.

I enjoyed your story very much. Your use of the prompt words was very well done. One could think that Jack is overreacting if the woman is 'Puppy's' neighbor as she could just be on the way home. The business they are in could have made him paranoid about anything, even the innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm not the best reviewer, and I always dislike pointing out anything bad. But I honestly didn't find anything wrong with the story that I could point out. (Just remember I'm not a professional at all so these are just my own little nigglings pointed out to help, especially if you wish to further your story at all.)

Overall I quite enjoyed this story, and I would love to see more and actually find out what the pair are up to on their 'ordinary' day.

I really enjoyed your story. The sweet sadness was lovely, I must admit I've never thought about the ghost story from this perspective and can't imagine how sad it would be for a ghost to see so many residents come and go, with some knowing his presence and others ignoring him. I loved how at the end Will finally had someone that he could interact with fully.

I'm not the best reviewer, and I always dislike pointing out anything bad. But I honestly could not find anything that stuck out as an error or problem. Overall I quite enjoyed this story, the pacing was perfect for the length of the story. It makes me wonder if I'm one of those who don't notice the ghost where I'm living.
