That's what I am to be! I'll point out the great parts, the weak parts, and the confusing parts. Even if it's not my favorite style of writing, I put aside those preferences and get involved with the author's own voice and style - everyone is different! |
| Since my "day job" is as a professional proofreader and copy-editor, I am good at spotting grammar and mechanics issues. However, what I enjoy most is looking at the big picture of a piece, seeing how plot flows, how characters develop, and if the reader gets a good sense of who, what, when, and where. |
| I actually like to read most things! And if it's a new genre I like to be introduce and surprised. I've recently been introduce by Christine Blackthorn (a client from my day job) to Romantica, and what fun it's been getting into that! |

| The only thing I don't read is horror since I take the stories I read with me into my dreams. |
