It's many years ago since your sun set,
I write these words to all, lest we forget.
Too often people do forget, and for someone to make an effort to eulogize such an event is far too rare. Thank you for this wonderful poem. It brought tears to my eyes. I am sure there is no one still alive from WWI, but the children and grandchildren do remember.
This poem serves as a reminder of the price of freedom, and that it is freely and openly given. I hope that no one ever forgets the courage and generosity of the people who have died in wars to protect our freedoms.
