I read quite a few stories like this in mythology class. This was quite comparable to the ones I enjoyed. It was very descriptive and short and sweet. Great job!
I have written since I was in 3rd grade. (Blame FCAT) But in 9th grade I was forced by my English teacher to submit a poem for a contest as a grade. My poem ended up being published. Since, I have taken it upon myself to consider writing as more of a hobby.
I really liked this story. I'm not much of a sports fanatic, but I started reading this in boredom and enjoyed it. I half expected the end to be more dramatic, just because I'm not used to a fairy tale type ending, but it was still good. Nice job!
