I am glad you found your way to happiness. I too had a messed up childhood. My dad raised us without our mother, but he always worked to take care of us. But I came out on top, while my brothers ended up in trouble. Great job.
That was an incredible submission. When I was reading it, it reminded me of a high school friend named Rob (coincidence?)whom I have just reconnected with. Thank you for writing what I myself can't write.
Great job on your poem. I was a little confused at first, but then understood. I read it again and it made me smile. You had ensnared me with talking of plunging, licking and moaning, but was confused of the liver dying and tooth decay part, until I read about the chocolate. Excellent use of descriptive words to decribe your eating of the chocolate.
Great job, it gave me goosebumps to read it. Check your spelling though, I saw one or two spelling errors and a run on sentence here and there. Otherwise, great job.
I enjoyed reading your work again. I do understand the mantra of "I wish I could've..." or "It would've been nice..." I do that a lot sometimes, but have since learned that life is entirely too short for that. Great job on your writing.
I liked your poem. It was heartfelt and I wish I had a mother to share those experiences with. I can relate this poem with my father though and he has passed on a few years ago. I have also written a poem about my mother, but it is the opposite of yours. Great job. Write on.
That was an incredible story. Even though it was meant for children, I loved it. I envisioned every move Lauren made and it was like a mini movie to me. I didn't notice if you had written any more to this story, but I will check out your portfolio for more. Great job. Write on.
Incredible story. I love the twist at the end. I never would have expected that ending. At first, I thought that something bad was going to happen to him, but alas, I was wrong. I love reading these types of stories, and it makes it seem better with surprise endings. Write on!!!
I liked reading your short story. It was interesting and I could picture it as I read it. At first I thought she was a battered wife, but to my surprise, and my enjoyment, it was something totally different. A little break from the normal battered wife story. Great job and I also liked the add in of the winning lottery ticket.
