An interesting and chilling story. John's character is well developed, but still retains an air of mystery, which i like. It is easy to see how he has become so bitter and twisted, facing one snobby putdown after another.
The calm with which John kills his young daughter is astonishing- perhaps too much. however, i don't think Hitler shed any tears for the Jews, so maybe this is an accurate representation of a narcisstic personality.
I do ask why John does not punish Jill and the rest of his wife's family by death, instead of his innocent children, though.
I think the end is very fitting, and i do feel that in the end, going to mexico would not release John from his bitterness, and that death is the only antidote to this poison, however, it may be counted as an easy way out.
well done and keep writing
