Hi globug,
I have little to say except that in my opinion this piece is excellent. It is original and fresh and it also tugs at my heart. It describes familiar scenes with vivid images that are, like the roses, of many shades and redolent of various aromas. It speaks of life. It was a pleasure to read, write on!
Ah, the classicswitch! The first clue, "An innocent and one whose innocence had been stolen years, no, decades before." I loved the story.
I disagree with the use of 'sunk' in the last sentence, since sunk is past participle and you use 'as she' I think it should be 'sank', or, "Rosie sunk her fangs deep into his throat, his rich red blood coursed through her and she thought to herself, "Oh, yes! The wannabes always taste the sweetest?"
I like your style very much.
