Being that I enjoy dark-themed writing, I was really intrigued by this poem. I like how the poem represents closeted isolation; closeted to those around the speaker yet clearly visible to him/her. The shape also intrigues me, representing, in my opinion, being alone, especially utilizing one word for last line. All in all I like the feel of this poem, and I also think that it was well written.
This is a very interesting story. I like how it was short yet to the point. While I was reading I was trying to decipher the importance of the hand, but then I realized that the painting and the man both represented something larger than what is at face value. I love how the story takes place in a future where, because of the virus, people of that generation aren't even aware of what a handshake is. In addition to that, I like the fact that the details are subtle enough for the reader to pick up on what is going on.
