I'm 18 and have always been the black sheep in my classes because of my believe in the big bang theory. Your theory is incredible. Humans have always had the need to explain everything. Think of UFO's. Even the name says it. Unidentified Flying Object. We saw something we couldn't understand and that scared us. We needed to be able to explain it and hence Aliens came into existence. Our whole existence is seen in the same way. We can't explain our existence. Why are we here? How have we been created. What is our purpose in life? We needed to be able to answer all these questions. I believe that thats where the big bang theory, religion, and heaven and hell came from. Suddenly every question had an answer. Why are we here? To live in honor of our gods, who ever you choose to believe in. How have we been created. Through God's hands, the big bang theory. What is our purpose in life? To server our gods.
I love the way you explained the big bang theory. The cake theory is an easy way to explain what it is, how it works. As you said we are extremely intelligent creatures. And maybe one day the time machine will become reality and all questions answered. For now however I do believe we've done well so far. Very interesting piece you've written.
