This story brought back a lot of familiar memories and feelings. My husband is still in service and we've gone through a lot, and this story serves as a great reminder of all the love that still remains in this world us even when we feel weighed down by all the bad.
As I read it, even though you used minimal words to describe it, I could feel your pain.
It also helped to understand what you were feeling by how you focused the story on that. It's great. I think it would have taken away had you added anything more outside of that.
Although it could use a little bit of editing, the purpose you wrote this is to share a wonderful experience and you did that very nicely.
Great story, and a big thank you for sharing.
Write on and have a great day! God Bless!
How awesome! It happened to me today, too and I'm also a Newbie. :'D
I love your idea of making this note! I hope you don't mind if I borrow it (the idea).
Write on and have a great day!
Well, Newbie here and this will be my first time trying this. My goals seems small compared to the ones I've read so far, but for me they're still some that I really have to work for in order to reach them.
This week will be one for new beginnings for me because I just moved up here (Interior Alaska), and I am feeling motivated to add a writing goal into it. *phew*
1. (Begins tomorrow) Start off headstrong and remain headstrong as my husband's unit's new FRG Leader (Army mumbo-jumbo).
2. As I start my volunteer position with Go Red For Women Alaska, I want do it in a way that will impact someone's life positively and not be just another volunteer head.
3. Write the second chapter to my long forgotten story, Mystery Woman. I have all the notes in my head, I just have to hunker down and get it written.
Ay caramba!! This is going to take some serious work and dedication from a hard core introvert like myself. But I figure if I write it on here, then it's a way to hold myself accountable. Here goes!
