I enjoyed the concept of the story. I would have liked a little more back ground on what made in get to the place. How he lost his jobs, the stress over the bills. something that would make me feel sorry for him and hope that he would reunite with his family. Maybe him trying to go home once or twice and not being able to do it, working his way up to making it back home.
The beginning of the story reminded me of The Lord of the Rings bar scenerio. I enjoyed reading the story and you set it up to lead to many future chapters. I enjoy vampire stories even though I have never seen the VanHelsing stories, people seem to enjoy them.
Such a sad poem and yet I can relate to the poem. Somedays I feel such sadness, trapped in my life of sameness that I experience everyday. If you are writing this poem from the heart, it seems a very painful and courageous thing to do. The good thing is the happiness is available and hopefully will be found,
I enjoyed this story. I love the things that children teach us and I am happy when I come across somewhere who is aware of what children can teach us. It is a shame that as we age we lose our openness to adapting to others easily. Children will play with other kids, no matter race, gender, religion or handicapp, all they see are children. To bad we lose these ways as we grow older.
I hope that you keep enjoying your grandkids and all they have to teach you.
That was a very good story, kept me going right to the end. For once I didn't figure the ending before I got to the end, thank you. Keep writing, I like your writing style, you could be headed towards writing books. I hope to get as good at telling stories.
It was a very funny story and I feel very sorry what you men have to go through. I never ask a man to go shopping with me, and I am one of the few women in the world who hates to shop. I can not stand going shopping, not even to the grocery store. I don't shop for sales or bargin, I get what I want and if its not on sale, oh well. I hate blue light specials and will never go to another one, I shop online for gifts, no standing in lines or dealing with shoppers or workers.
That was an absolutely wonderful story, I enjoyed reading it very much, it was heart warming. If he's still alive, I hope you get the chance to see him again. If not you can thank him when you get to heaven, i'm sure he'll be happy to see you and happy to know he made such a wonderful impression on your life.
I really enjoyed the poem. I am not great reader of poetry, but it was a very emotional and heart felt poem. I hope that you will continue to write, I really enjoyed and understood what you had to say. At any time any of us can feel a since of tiredness, ready to let life go. If we can all only remember that if we are patience, we will fly and love again.
It is good to remember some of the tragic things that have happened to groups of people, in the hope that we can prevent it from happening in the future. It is good to know that the young lady who lost her legs was able to move on with her life, get married and get her smile back.
Your story helps to show that even after tragedy we can smile again, if we are willing to.
I am no poetry expert and have only written a few poems myself. I liked this poem because it is something that I can agree with. As we travel through life, we need love to help us experience the variety of emotions that the universe makes available for us, what better way to experience them then through love. Love can definitely brighten the darkest areas of our lives.
This was a very good story and it sucked me in. It moved along smoothly, maybe some details that were not needed, but overall a very good story. I would have liked a few more twists and turns, but I was very surprisesd and happy with the ending. This could be fleshed out to be a longer and more involved story with many twists and turns. Good job.
