Hi Richard,
I'm always wary about taking these sorts of tests but you said it would be worth it so, I hit the link and did it. I came up as an ISFJ, so then I clicked the 'career' option and my current job as well as the training I'm doing are both listed there. I read the description and yes, it's me. Thanke for the opportunity to discover a bit more about myself.

I'm not in the majority - my choice was not to use stereotypes in the story. Each character should be there on his/her own merits and not stereotypical of a culture or age group.

Having said that, if you want to make a point of using a stereotype in a story then it should be declared in the story itself eg. Billy Bubba was a stereotypical guy from the deep South...etc

Review of As Seasons Change  Open in new Window.

Hello Chrysalisaus,
I enjoyed the tempo and rhythm of this piece. It shows the passing and rebirth of nature and of elements of our lives in a carefully written manner.

I am not a fan of 'of that which' especially in poetry, but that is a personal preference.

Great to see someone else celebrating spring as we move into the warmer weather!

Hello Catching raindrops in Sunshine,
I have given you a rating of 3.5 as I believe you are a little more than half way there with this poem.
Some writers want detailed and constructive criticism, some don't. By requesting a review I take it you would like a detailed review. I offer you the following, however, it is only my opinion and the work is still yours. Feel free to take it on board or ignore it.

If you would like to discuss this further or clarify anything, please email me.

The anger and resentment you felt towards your dad after the visit is evident. The hurt and pain comes through in your word choice.

However, there are a few parts which don't make sense to me.
Stanza 1.

Nothing fills in the silence
Of the hatred so bold
Beside the cursed mutterings
Of the voice inside my head
As they roar in anger
And sarcasm of annoyance
While trying to figure out
Such petty misgivings

Voice is singular, as they roar is plural, there needs to be a consistency.
'...and sarcasm of annoyance' doesn't make sense.

Stanza 2
As to why it’s all in death quiet
Is why we’re moving along
And the last comment that he gave
Was the reason why of my departure
And the cursive words of hurt
Flowing from my whispered mouth
As he backs away quickly
From my place I now stand

Reread the first two lines...as to why...is why...this confuses and trips up the reader. It's best not to repeat words so close to each other. Then you have used 'why' in the third line again.
You have used the phrase 'cursive words of hurt' cursive relates to a style of writing, which doesn't correlate with it coming from your mouth. You need to rethink the word usage here.

Hi Greyhound Man,
I took your challenge and I found the 21 words in 7:48 - so how did I do?

I have always been amazed at the Gaelic language, how they put their letters together then come up with the sounds that match has always surprised me.

One question, what do the words mean? I did go to the Gaelic-English dictionary but so I may learn something yet.

Great puzzle

Hi Spidey,
Are you moving somewhere?

This is a great quiz, very interesting questions and options. I'm a grape - I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not!

There must be interesting conversations at your place.

Hi Dorianne,

2.26 for me (18 words)
I thought you word selection was great. Not just the 'festivity' aspect of your national day but words relating to it's origins. Something we neglect over the years in favour of the day off instead.

Where does 'one if by land, two if by sea' come from?

Hi Dolphin Butterfly Girl,
A great word search. It took me ages to get the first one and I had heard of most of the places. I finished with a time of 3:45, but I'm not sure how that stacks up against other searchers. This is a great choice of topic and limiting it to 15 makes it more challenging.

Review of The Chanters  Open in new Window.

Hi Diddy,
I really liked the feel of this piece, the rhyme and flow is coming along and you create some strong imagery with your word choice.

I do have a few suggestions on how to tighten it up and enhance the flow: Some people don't like others reworking their poems, I'm not sure of your preferences. So I offer the following for you to take or leave as you desire:

The first line is too long in comparison to the rest. By deleting the first 'the' and 'and' you can shorten it without changing the context.

I'd also consider adding an extra word in lines 3 and 4 to even it out.

Darkness seizes my mind, The Chanters begin
To come out from the shadows they hide within.
The Chanters take hold of my soul.
Once again I have lost control.

"Leave me alone," I beg. "[G]o away!"
"You will listen," they hiss[,] "to what we say!"
I cover my ears to drown out their cries[,]
I will not listen to The Chanters lies

"I am not crazy; this cannot be[!]
I am normal, why can't you see?
You are not real, none of this is true!"
"Then who," The Chanters ask [,]"[a]re you talking to?"

Hi Mateo,
Word searches for slow times at work - I'm not sure the boss would appreciate it. If they think you've got spare time, they'll find a way to fill it.

You have used a range of common furniture, which can be found around the house (and at Macy's I expect).

I believe the generation of the search is random, however, with mine, 17 of the 19 words appeared horizontally - decreasing the challenge somewhat. I look forward to doing more of your puzzles.

Hi CA,
A quick little word search with many titles to bring back memories of bygone days. I can't say I've heard of them all but there are a couple of favourites.

There's many more titles to choose from so you have the potential to make a few in this series.
Great job

Hello Rheias, this is a fun little quiz and after scoring 12 I guess I spend too much time doing them. I thought the idea behind this one was great and had the potential to be quite humorous. However, four questions is too short. One typo: reccomended [recommended]

Hi Spidey, it looks like it's just you. I don't know if it's heavy typing or something on your hands. My friend was complaining the other day her letters were starting to fade, when I suggested she posted less she wasn't amused. This is a great little poll, lets us know we are not alone in the computer world.

Review of Harry Potter  Open in new Window.

Hi C.A.
This is a pretty good Harry Potter wordsearch bringing together many Potter-ese words which are now in our vocabulary. My strong suggestion would be to have the clue list alphabetised. I found it impeded the puzzle rather than enhanced it.
Looking forward to doing more of your puzzles,

Hi Friendship,
This is a cute little poll and I'm sure it was fun to do. As it is so short, there's really no room for error. You have two errors in your question and although they are known as Disney Princesses their names do not begin with Princess.

A few little edits and all will be well.
