Great writing, and a great insight into a condition few people understand.

Firstly congratulations on 30 years together. I loved your poem and bet your wife does too. My husband and I are approaching our 40th Anniversary and must agree life throws lots of challenges our way. After reading your lovely poem I am thinking I will have a go at doing a little piece myself for my lovely husband.

I loved this poem, I think we all lose our selves at times and wish we could be that person we used to be.

I know how you feel, I hate exercise to. Your poem made me smile. I might give it a try if you promise I will achieve the same result. Nice poem, well written.

Firstly I am not a poet, but enjoy reading it. I liked your first four paragraphs, but felt I wanted to know s little more about your couple. You seemed to have little interest in them as people. As l said it is just my opinion. Maybe I missed the point.

When I say I loved this poem, I mean I love the way you portray a mothers love. Nothing will ever break that love. She tries so hard to point her son in the right direction, but only he can save himself. Beautifully written.

Review of In A Mirror  Open in new Window.

I read your poem and smiled. If we didn't have mirrors I think we would all feel like a twenty one year old for ever. I still feel quite young and sometimes I get a shock when I tell someone my age, but when I look in the mirror the truth hits me.

I found your story in read a newbie, and glad I did. I think you summed up exactly what it must be like to go through a break up, when you don't want anyone else to know. How sad it must be, to live a lie just to keep other people happy.

A lovely poem I think we all wish for a world with no crime, or war. I don't think we will ever see this, but we can hope.

Very clever ha. I was just thinking the same as Doug, regarding the corny lines. I didn't see the ending coming and I am normally quite good at guessing a twist in the plot. I enjoyed your story and I am glad it ended the way it did.

What is it they say? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Your character certainly had fury. I loved it. I didn't quite get what the red parcel was, my thoughts were his heart. It kept me reading till the end. Not my usual type of read but really good.

What a beautiful poem. I think anyone who has ever lost a loved one will understand exactly how you feel. I lost my closest sister a couple of years ago, and I know it will get easier, but that feeling of loss will never go away. Hope you are doing ok. Keep writing.

Hi, I stumbled across your poem, and am glad I did. I lost my sister a couple of years ago, and your words summed up my feelings exactly. The line. Where are you up there, is something I found myself asking quite a lot. Hope you are doing ok.

I am sorry, I am having problems with my I pad or should I say my husbands I pad. We are on holiday so I am using it, whithout much succes. When I click on the stars, it is sending a different amount. I loved your story and meant to send you 4.5 stars. It looks like it only sent 1 so I have done it again

Hi, this made me laugh. I think we have all been caught out raiding the fridge. The funny thing is, it's only ourselves we are cheating. It's a guilty pleasure.

Hi, I enjoyed your story, and think you summed up the feelings of the innocent party really well. How do you ever trust again? I should imagine most of us would say we would walk away, unable to forgive. I suppose until it happens to you, there is no knowing how you would react. I just wonder why you choose not to use capitals.

I loved your story, and yes you are right we should all try and make our dreams come true. The trouble is your dream would be my worst nightmare, and you would know why if you had ever heard me sing. Joking apart I enjoyed your story.

I enjoyed your story. It reads as a true story, if so I hope you have found that special person you were looking for. I would suggest you have another look and correct the punctuation. I am suggesting this, as I have been given this advice myself, and found it really helps to improve the piece.

I don't read a lot of poetry, but yours caught my eye. I thought it was a lovely poem. It flowed really well, and you expressed the feelings of falling in love perfectly.

What a great story, you had me from the first sentence. I actually felt a lump in my throat as I was reading. I felt so sad for Boris, and gathered he had passed away. You kept the suspense and emotion through out. I hope you are right and we all find someone to help us move to our next world. A lovely story, very well written.

Hi, I think a lot of people reading your piece will relate to it. As parents we worry about our children from the day they are born and I don't think we ever stop. They give us a lot of joy and pride, but also heartache. My sister once said to me, the best we can hope for is that what we put in, comes back out. In other words you sound as if you have given your son good values, love. and care. So he has all that inside him and when he comes through this rough patch hopefully all those good things will come back. Good look.
