You express your views well in a different type of prose than I am used to reading or writing. However this is where we can share our own type of prose. For me it takes a rereading to get the full understanding of what you are trying to say.
In reading The Malt Shop and the chapter or article before, my interest was to continue reading and see what happened next. Very well written, humorous as well as informational.
My attention was captivated as the box was discovered. After all the negative things a boy could think of not to like this small spacious room, the box gave a miracle to the young lad. Seeing within is such a release of all elements of anger as you discover that the person using language to deter you from what you really want, the gift inside the box brings fun and imagination to anyone in the small roo.
Wow! I was able to feel myself into this poem as it expressed how a person hates to really grow old but must accept the fact that life does go on. I can also see with thought you were able to put words in such a format that it ran like a river right into line with what you were trying to express. Good job!
The story line keeps your attention, but what if things turn out they way you do not expect? Will the story or plot change in your story? You do have quite a bit of interesting starts of the story and reading the whole of it would be welcome to my eyes.
I was attracted to this writing as it started with questions and then gave answers of feelings that most people have but do not know how to express. Written words sometimes convey the thoughts of those going through a trial or traumatic advent to them but as they speak, you come up with the words to express their feeling. Once they read or hear them, their response is, "That's what I mean." Very well written and thought out.
Oh how this writing reminds me of my own dealings in faith, letting go and letting God. This expressed my being and thoughts when there is a crisis in my life. I have found that prayer is the best thing and letting God control the situation, since I cannot, is the best thing to end the crisis.
