Excellent short story! Your characters feel very real and you've done a great job with dialogue. Your attention to details is also wonderful. I could feel and see what the characters felt and saw. The budding love, the shared love and then the panic and protection during the gunmen's rampage. Your foreshadowing was subtle and the excitement of Tom and Sarah's relationship covered it up so that you forget about it until the end. Great job!
Bravo! This poem couldn't get any better. You speak the truths of things many turn their heads from... truth to power! I love how each section builds up more and more suspense to the last section.. we are indeed a nation in crisis, as is the entire world. Thanks for posting this most excellent poem.
What a fascinating and spell-bound tale. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. You have a great way with details. I could see and feel every word you wrote. This would make an excellent tale to tell around a campfire! You did an awesome job of keeping one in suspense too. A definite solid 5!
This is an amazing write! I love all the hues and colors you displayed, my favorite being "Friends are warm colors of Autumn." Since I am an Autumn person, this resonated well with me and gave me food for thought. Friends really are warm and warm colors really represent Autumn well. It was a perfect representation, as are all of your colorful words. This is probably one of the best poems I've read in a long time :)
What an amazing story! I love how you paid attention to even the smallest of details. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time as I read chapter after chapter of this story. I love how the two met and how her love of technology took hold of John, even when he didn't want to try something new. I was a bit sad at the end when they all died from the virus, but the story took a natural turn.. what else could have happened? no one really learned from the past so it was doomed to repeat itself. Excellent write!
