This was beautiful! You must be a musician. I don't really know much about poetry, if I'm being honest, but this felt like something out of an old poetry book. Bygone prose of famous writers. It's as if the music was swelling more and more with each verse. Really well done!
Was this for a school assignment? It was an interesting read. Concise, covering many facets of the virtue with references to origin. I especially liked the last part. It immediately made me think of police officers. Or at least how they should be.
I can't write poetry to save my life (well, I've written a few but think them bleh) but I enjoyed this one. It created a tapestry of visuals and feelings. The only thing I didn't understand was the word "wondererts." Never heard that word before.
Awww sweetie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Our cats are indoor only, and for that reason alone. Our fur babies are so special to us. My daughter had a cat she adored and he passed away. She didn't want another either. But someone gave her a tiny little kitten and he not only looks like the one that died, but he's even more special. It's like she got her cat back with more personality than ever!
Your poem broke my heart. But I want your heart to be filled again. I hope you allow another kitty to enter your life. Keep him/her indoors!
