This poem offers an honest and profound reflection on the conflict many may feel in their family relationships, especially when respect and abuse are intertwined. The central question, “What are the limits?”, invites us to question the extent to which we should honor our parents, even when their treatment of us is not what we deserve. The author tackles difficult topics such as emotional and physical abuse, challenging the traditional notion of blind respect for parents. The idea that some parents may view their harmful behavior as a form of “motivation” to strengthen their children is particularly striking and generates an interesting conversation about the line between discipline and abuse.

The free style of the poem reflects that internal struggle, that feeling of confusion and frustration. However, at times, the flow of ideas could be more fluid and the transitions between topics could be improved so that the message is understood more clearly. Perhaps delving a little deeper into the son's emotions, his doubts, and his pain would make the poem resonate even more with the reader.

In short, it is a courageous work that tackles a complex and necessary subject. With a few adjustments to its structure and development, it could achieve an even deeper connection with the reader. It is a subject worth exploring further!
