Review of Tiananmen  Open in new Window.

I really could not handle being in a foster family. I felt the pain in this poem like it was my own. I like how you related it to Tienanmen Square. That was really original. I really felt sorry for the girl in the poem...or you, if that is the case.

My mother just went through something similar. She was let go from a job that she dedicated three years of her life to. I really hope your nursing license and your career do not suffer.

I enjoyed this poem. It was full of emotion. You conveyed the fear, hope, and determinism very well.

That was a very lovely poem. I hope that I can find that kind of love some day. You are a very lucky woman, and so is your husband. This kind of love inspires me.

I don't often write, or even read love poetry. But this one was spectacular. You are a truly gifted writer.

I also really enjoy cemeteries. There is a historical one about 20 miles from my house in North Georgia. It has a whole area for civil war soldiers. About half of them are Unknown graves. During my freshman year of college, in Macon, Ga, I used to go to the cemetery there to study for tests and to write papers. It was the only place I could go where no one bothered me.

I can really identify with your essay and your struggle. I was recently diagnosed with Bipolar I disorder. I am still struggling to accept it and the fact that I will need medications for the rest of my life so that I can be normal and productive. I want to be a therapist and I know that it will be especially hard for me to accomplish that because of my illness.

Oh my god. There are hardly words to describe how amazing that was. I could see myself in her shoes. And the abortion method is so primitive--perfect for the story (of course, I guess that's all they had in the 50's). I really was able to feel the girl's pain. Well done.

That's a really interesting poem. I love the second part, the ode to oral sex...or at least that'a how it seems to me. I'm not usually one for poetry, but I think you changed my mind. I should start giving it a look. I'm going to peruse your portfolio and I hope I find other gems such as this one!
