Powerful, compelling and beautiful. An analysis of life as a whole in so few words, and so fantastically written. I adore your style and your subject - but together it is a masterpiece. We should all strive to be Eagles... but of course we shall never be short of Fat cats - luckily this only succeeds in making us more determined to be all we can be.
Excellent reflection of the selfishness and blind-sightedness of man. All we see is money - we (/they) don't see the poverty, oh, no - but the gold is clear in their eyes. Love it ;D
I love this story!! I really, really do. Mostly because I can relate to it so well, but also because I can see the message is so strong without the story itself being cheesy. (ever read a story where the character actually SAYS the moral at the end? I have - euuggghh :3) Love the ending, there :D would this story by any chance be based from a real experience? It has a very believable feel to it - so if it wasn't an experience, then congrats on writing it so well ;). Also: would the mysterious "website", happen to be writing.com? :D
I suppose I relate so well because I am familiar with being the hard worker who loves to take pride in writing, and takes extreme pleasure in reaping the rewards that follow. Unfortunately, though - inevitably swarmed by my coasting "friends" who will criticise me for being a geek one minute, and then ask me to help with their homework in that honey-sweet voice the next! Don't we just love it :3?
I may take a look at more of your writing. I really genuinely love it. Good work ;D
This piece is calling out to be entwined with a melody. I loved it! The eloquent language you use to describe her personality and physical appearance is stunning and captivating. Excellent work - I'm very impressed :D.
Wow, powerful and with a melancholy aura of beauty. I love the structure, the subject and the frightening fragile nature of the girl and of how the poet conveys his feelings of utter powerlessness in her presence.
Excellent!! I can relate to some of that. Not the deeper stuff about self-harming and suicide, but other things. I really love the emotional and deep soulful troubles put into an epic poem.
Congratulations, I haven't read anything that good in a long time. :D
(is it about you, or someone you know? Or was it purely from imagination?)
A very interesting perspective. We don't "purchase" them for any reason other than the survival of the human race. I suppose it's more natural for people to want to embark on raising a child because that is our natural instinct as homo sapiens, as opposed to the natural impulse to want to buy a toaster.
Babies do not come with refund policies, manuals, payment options or anything because they are more of a responsibility than a product. We have no control over them, but I suppose that's all part of the experience - because they are human. I f you want something expected, predictable and reliable - raise a robot. :D
But still I love your capacity to be philosophical about such a thing, and I found the points raised in this fascinating. Very good :)
OMG, creeeeeeeeeepy!! But very good too! I enjoyed the story, and the constant chaos, mayhem, and calamities were so ironic (yet mildly funny). But my hunger to find out what the noise was was not satisfied :(. I know it was a cliffhanger but still...
