This is my personal opinion though, but I feel the poem was written pretty well. It had a sweet way to express the feeling of bliss on having First Love. But I think the last stanza describing the death of some friend, was quite hazy because it did not make a clear idea of which love the poet is talking about. Is it the first love or some other one whom he loved again but she died quite early? Also, in the last stanza, end of what has been discussed is not very clear. Otherwise, the poem is very beautiful
