I agree 100% with what you are saying. I fancy myself an artist. I love to draw, paint, ceramics etc. Despite my love for creating art, I absolutely refused to take classes in art (until forced for credit) because I could not, and still cannot understand how someone can GRADE art or what even gives that person a right to say what is GOOD art and what isn't.
I absolutely love the lyrics. The songs that are typically loved by many are the ones that many people can relate to. I feel that most people will be able to relate to your lyrics as I have. My favorite part of this song would have to be "I stopped doing, didn’t act, dance or sing, Scared I’d be laughed at, didn't do anything." Powerful stuff right there :)
This poem does a very good job expressing the internal chaos brought about by sudden loss. It is bittersweet how some of the most beautiful art is inspired by tragedy.
