Excellent rant!!!! You made some really good points in this rant and I agree 100%. I'm shocked that PBS is doing that, like you said he is the COOKIE MONSTER!
It is the parents responsibilities to monitor their child's eating habits as well as making sure they don't spend to much time on tv or video games. If parents don't teach their kids right from wrong they may turn out to be really bad kids.

This sounds like a really interesting story. The plot sounds strong and the description is terrific. The emotional content is good too. You have an extra word in the paragraph that starts with "Dear." In the paragraph that starts "She knew what that scream meant, it meant a kind woman who she loved life had just ended." You should use the word "whom" instead of who and after the word she loved you should use a dash or hyphen some kind of a pause then write "life had just ended." In the paragraph "Shaking she probed her mind" the sentence that says "She couldn’t it was too much she wanted to disappear never to exist." It is a compound sentence and you could rewrite like this possibly. "She couldn't. It was too much. She wanted to disappear-to never exist." Otherwise it could be a really good story especially if the little girl forgets for awhile and then one day when she's older she remembers. I think you should keep on writing it!!! Good job!
I like this poem very much. It definitely captures what the phoenix is all about. I think you did a fantastic job. I also liked the rhythm, it flows beautifully.
