Glory be, what a lovely true, heartfelt shared part of your (just not working life) but life experience which obviously has set the seeds for you to be a writer with empathy and a quiet passion for expressing what is not always-noticed or noted when looking after the older generation.
They are our past and intricate in our future, and so, give us an abundance of living fabric for us to portray in our own way with their blessing.💗
I myself over lots of years have worked in Care Homes and with the wealth of knowledge and "tales" I have been privey to from my lovey ladies and gents and the laughs we have shared, I have been able to weave this into some of my work, with respect and love-I thank them.
Hi Ellie-Rose,
Wow, I really love this piece and actually relate to it.
Your words-while hurting, are making you stronger and hopefully you will go on to write about more or life's experiences.
Never quit-Always write, you have the gift.
Regards, Mazzii.😄
Hi there,
Well how powerfully you have written this piece.
Your words hit home and so clever to have kept it short-that brings even more strength and emotion to your poem.
Keep writing and I will look for more of you work.
Regards, Mazzii.
Hi Austin,
your words are are so simple and beautiful-but in life-not so.
It is so hard to let go of all in life that may be hurting.
I really like this piece and yes you are right-we Must be true to ourselves, because in ourselves that is where we can only find our true self.
Hi,
I really like this piece,
in just a few lines you have expressed much philosophy regarding as to where we begin life and indeed begin again.
In my lifetime if I had been able to stop hiding in the shadows of my then birth, perhaps my rebirth would have been so much easier.
Thank You,
Regards, Mazzii.
Hi everyone, 👍
I am quite new to WDC and have been made to feel very welcome.
The feedback and support has been great and has given me the confidence to keep writing.😁
Someone recently sent me a very generous gift anonymously,
Obviously I can't thank them personally so I wondered if I could express my gratitude here on general discussion, just in case the person in question should see it.
So thank you very much-🌹-you know who you are, it gave me a great boost and I am really determined to carry on writing.✏️
Regards, Mazzii.
Wow! (Hi by the way)
I really enjoyed reading this piece, You said you were listening to rap whilst writing it-well in my humble opinion, in the main and I think with a little"tweeking",it would stand on its own as a rap piece also.
It does work as poetry because I feel it is written from the heart, mind and soul and it belongs to you.
Keep writing, I look forward to reading more of your work,
regards, Mazzii.
Hi,
I enjoyed this piece very much, for me it read well and flowed nicely.
You expressed your feeling/experiences in a way that the reader can understand and perhaps identify with, (as did I)
Keep writing, I will look for more of your work.
Take Care, regards, Mazzii.
Hi,
what a lovely tribute to your Mum,
I read more between your written lines, which I think is very clever-it makes me want to know more.
Keep writing, I will look for more of your work.
Regards, Mazzii.
Hi Gerwyn,
I really felt the Piece is born of realisation and experience in your life.
It drew me in and to me as the reader, gave me the understanding that life is precious.
If we stay strong in body and soul we will be looked after and given true guidance.
Keep writing, I will watch out for more of your work,
Regards, Mazzii.
Hey Peter, you got my attention!
I get the feeling you are writing from the mind, heart and soul-
absolutely from your inner being.
I really empathise.
This piece made me really shrink and think-we have to express our feelings and you have done that in such a way to make your readers stop and think(in my opinion) about other aspects of life.
I will look for more of your work.
Thank You for letting me read this piece, take care,
Regards Mazzii.
Hi Clay,
I really liked this piece, I get the feeling your words are based on experience or a knowledge of inner feelings and the consequences of such.
You have written with passion and from the heart- (well for me reading it-that is what I get.)
Keep writing, I really find that putting life experience down as a piece of writing always helps me to cope and as an added bonus for me-I did not even realise I could make words work in a literary sense,!
KeepWriting, I'll be looking for your work.
Regards, Mazzii.
Oh what a lovely piece Josh,
the words flow nicely and reminds me of days long gone in the first flushes of love.
If the answer you got, or hoping to get is the one you wish for-or it does not work out, there will be another poem inside you when you feel you can write it.
Please write the next poem.
Regards, Mazzii
What a brilliant all round review-Hang On, Bubblegum, Not just a review but a brilliant piece of writing.
Again with your usual finesse, professionalism and subtle humour you have presented,( in my humble opinion)-a stand alone piece of work which makes me feel I am reading the work of someone that really cares and knows what is going on in the world of Writng.com and beyond.
I like your work Bubblegum, you have the gift-coupled with a great understanding of other people's work which in my book makes you just the right kind of person to be an honest but gentle reviewer.
I am sure that you will find your own spot out there in the world and be a great success as a writer or reviewer-or Yes Both!
Take Care, Mazzii.
I really loved this piece,
I do not class myself as a "poet"
But who is a a poet?
Summer Storm puts the reader there in the moment of experience.
I always try to embrace the essence of the moment and put the words down. This is not only a moment in time-but a moment for ever.
Thanking you for your review of one of my poems.
Regards, Mazzii.
Heartfelt and inspiring-we have to live with pain and grief and to be able to put into words your feelings and of those around you with such dignity and warmth about your loss and the void it has left in your lives perhaps was difficult.
You have honoured and remembered your loved one with a wonderful poem,a tribute you should be proud of.
Regards, Mazzi
All I can say is-what a beautiful piece. Written out of the overwhelming
sense of love that comes with being a parent.
Your son is a lucky boy.
Regards Mazzii
Hi,
A nice way of expressing your emotions-I understood what you were feeling.
I know what you mean about more of a ramble than a poem but that is what I do, I find it really helps to put words down where I can see them instead of them all jumbled in my head.
I usually go back to a piece and try to rework it if I feel it could read better, if you did do that always keep the original because I find it helpful to look back and see where and how the rawness of a piece came from.
Keep writing.
Regards Mazzii.
I really enjoyed this piece,
I have read it over twice now and it really does make you stop and think about life and how quickly and senlessly it can snatched away.
You have woven many thought provoking issues into your poem highlighting how inhuman some humans can be.
But there is always good out there and we have to nurture that.
Regards, Maggs.
