I liked your story - it made me think and made it quite clear that none of us can avoid change. Even dead people "change"! To make sure it is for the better is the best we can do...
I hope you always remember that feeling you got when you were the "bad guy". The superiority and the bullies continue throughout life - just look at the American government for proof of that!
It is only the good that endures forever, so fight the good fight, but do it with compassion. It's a fine line, as you've learned, but SO worth it.
Also, a technical note; you have a knack for descriptive phrases. I felt like I was right there in that school. Write on!

Amen and Amen! So many people look at God as some kind of wishing well and your resolution, from your very soul, touches me deeply and is also my prayer - "please let it happen according to your will". The world would be a much finer place if we all prayed that way!
